Installed, tested and documented infrastructure

Network and fiber infrastructure delivered as a complete field service

TekRoute delivers Leviton MILLENNIUM, ATLAS-X1 and EXTREME Copper as installed and tested infrastructure—not a box-only or materials-only sale. We can furnish equipment and materials, install and certify the work, troubleshoot faults, restore service, document the system and support later changes across East Coast markets.

  • Equipment & Materials
  • Installation & Termination
  • Testing & Certification
  • Repair & Restoration
  • Lifecycle Support

New installation: For new infrastructure, we can plan pathways, furnish materials, install, terminate, label, test and document the work.

Existing system: For live environments, we can troubleshoot, repair, restore, recertify, reorganize and expand the network.

Enterprise infrastructure design guide

Leviton MILLENNIUM, ATLAS-X1 and EXTREME Copper

Leviton offers multiple end-to-end copper system families rather than one universal channel. Selection should reflect application assurance, category, shielding, PoE load, density, distance, global consistency, warranty and the client’s existing standard.

Treat components, installation and evidence as one system

Choose a supported architecture from application, capacity, environment, pathway, lifecycle and acceptance requirements—not a single part number.

MILLENNIUMGlobal copper systems intended for consistent enterprise deployment.
PARADIGMExtended-distance Cat 6 system for supported longer-reach applications.
ATLAS-X1Premium component-rated connectivity spanning multiple categories and shielding options.
EXTREME/GIGAMAXEnhanced enterprise and standard application families for appropriate category needs.

Match the family to the application

Define 1/2.5/5/10GBASE-T needs, endpoint PoE, distance, channel topology, environment and lifecycle. Compare Cat 6, Cat 6A or other supported categories using application requirements rather than assuming the highest category is automatically best. Extended-distance designs require exact manufacturer guidance.

Start with applications, speeds, distances, endpoint power, density, resilience, environment and growth. Reconcile the proposed platform with the client standard and installed base. A complete bill of materials must include connectivity, patching, pathways, grounding, management and service parts.

  • Application speed and reach
  • Category and shielding
  • PoE type and endpoint load
  • Global/client standard

Build the complete channel

Select compatible cable, jacks, plugs, patch panels, cords, consolidation points and accessories within the approved system. Decide UTP versus shielded from environment, grounding and client standard. Control substitutions because component mix can change performance and warranty responsibility.

Physical design should account for rack space, bend radius, fill, heat, power, UPS runtime, optics, polarity, labeling and maintenance access. Validate substitutions before procurement because an apparently equivalent component can alter performance, testing limits, warranty or serviceability.

Design for PoE, pathways and density

Calculate cable diameter, tray and conduit fill, bend radius, bundle heat and termination space. High-power PoE and dense Cat 6A need careful pathway and patching design. Coordinate rack managers, labels, grounding and service loops so the channel remains maintainable.

Define the manufacturer-supported test method, instrument configuration, reference procedure and pass/fail limits before work begins. Preserve native test files as well as summaries. Marginal results, skipped links and inaccessible areas need an owner and a documented retest or exception path.

  • Diameter and fill
  • Bundle heat and grounding
  • Rack and patch management
  • Future density

Certify and submit the system

Configure certification limits for the installed category and permanent-link or channel topology. Test wire map, length, loss, crosstalk and other required parameters with calibrated equipment. Preserve native results and complete any manufacturer warranty submission with the exact installed bill of materials.

Closeout should reconcile drawings, labels, ports, serials, licenses, software, warranties and test results. Link to the current manufacturer support and download portal. Store sensitive floor plans and configurations appropriately while keeping public guidance free of credentials and private network details.

  • Correct test limit
  • Calibrated certification
  • Native result files
  • Warranty documentation

How we plan and deliver the work

The final design depends on site conditions, existing systems, client policies and the selected manufacturer or platform.

Assess

Confirm applications, site conditions, standards and existing assets.

Engineer

Develop the architecture, bill of materials and acceptance plan.

Build and test

Install with controlled workmanship and manufacturer-supported tests.

Handoff

Reconcile records, warranties, support and lifecycle ownership.

Information to gather before design

Good decisions are easier when the project team starts with complete operational and technical information. The following items help reduce assumptions, change orders and avoidable return visits.

  • Applications, scale and growth
  • Platform and component compatibility
  • Pathway, power and environment
  • Testing, warranty and substitutions
  • Closeout and lifecycle ownership

Frequently asked questions

These are common planning questions. A site-specific answer should be confirmed during discovery and design.

Is Cat 6A required for every outlet?

No. Select category from application, PoE, distance, environment and lifecycle requirements.

Can Leviton components be mixed with any cable?

Function and warranty must be verified for the exact channel and program.

Does extended distance mean Ethernet has no limit?

No. Use the specific supported application and manufacturer design rules.

Where are current system documents?

Use Leviton Network Solutions’ official product and support library.

Manufacturer software, firmware and technical files remain on the manufacturer’s official website. We do not mirror firmware files locally.
