Fortinet network security appliance and switching environment

Installed, tested and documented infrastructure

Network and fiber infrastructure delivered as a complete field service

TekRoute delivers Fortinet Network & Security as installed and tested infrastructure—not a box-only or materials-only sale. We can furnish equipment and materials, install and certify the work, troubleshoot faults, restore service, document the system and support later changes across East Coast markets.

  • Equipment & Materials
  • Installation & Termination
  • Testing & Certification
  • Repair & Restoration
  • Lifecycle Support

New installation: For new infrastructure, we can plan pathways, furnish materials, install, terminate, label, test and document the work.

Existing system: For live environments, we can troubleshoot, repair, restore, recertify, reorganize and expand the network.

Portfolio and infrastructure context

Fortinet’s Security Fabric can include FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch switching, FortiAP wireless and management or analytics components. The approved logical design remains the client or network architect’s responsibility; TekRoute coordinates the physical infrastructure and field implementation that design requires.

FortiGate installation needs circuit handoffs, addressing, HA links, transceivers, rack power and an approved cutover and rollback method. FortiSwitch work adds FortiLink or standalone management decisions, stacking or MCLAG where designed, PoE and endpoint patching. FortiAP work requires survey-based mounting and post-install RF validation.

Firmware and configuration changes are controlled. Staged devices must arrive in the correct account or management context, and onsite technicians should not improvise upgrades during an outage window. The method of procedure identifies the remote owner, hold points and proof required before proceeding.

Product families in the design

Use the platform roles below to build a complete bill of materials and avoid treating unlike components as substitutes.

FortiGate

Firewall, routing and SD-WAN appliances tied to circuits and security policy.

FortiSwitch

Access and aggregation switching with FortiLink or approved standalone management.

FortiAP

Wireless access points installed to RF, cabling and PoE requirements.

Fabric management

FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer or cloud operations coordinated with the authorized owner.

Infrastructure decisions before release

These decisions affect pathways, racks, power, media, testing and future service.

Cutover method

Define circuits, addressing, HA, rollback, contacts and hold points.

Switch integration

Confirm FortiLink, VLAN, uplink, stack and PoE requirements.

AP placement

Validate location, orientation, cable, power and RF performance.

Release control

Record target firmware and who authorizes configuration or upgrade changes.

Acceptance and closeout evidence

Turnover should show that the installed infrastructure supports the approved design and can be maintained.

  • Verify WAN, routing, HA and approved policy paths from representative clients.
  • Confirm switching, FortiLink, uplinks, PoE and endpoint connectivity.
  • Validate wireless coverage, roaming and management visibility.
  • Deliver serials, interfaces, ports, photos, software versions and exceptions.
